Rogue Distillery and Public House

Rogue Ales is renowned for their delicious craft beer, but did you know they own and operate several “meeting halls” in Oregon, one in Eugene, Washington and one in San Francisco? Should you find yourself near one, stop in for a pint. Or better yet, a flight. Sure Rogue Beer is available nationwide, but that does not mean you should not visit one of their pubs that dot the west coast. Why you ask? First, they offer a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere in which to drink a delicious beer. You may say “that sounds like my living room back home,” which brings us to the second reason to visit: a wide variety of their beers on tap. Rogue makes a lot of different kinds of beer and many of them do not make it to the coolers at your neighborhood liquor store.
Rogue has expanded beyond ales and into spirits. The Rogue Distillery and Public House, located in Portland’s Pearl, is just that. The pub serves up 38 beers on tap and the distillery produces their rums. Tours of the distillery are given daily at 5pm. Just remember: liquor before beer, and you’re in the clear.
Know Before You Go
Rogue is open from 11am until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1am on weekends.
Bottom Line
Don’t miss the Irish Lager and the Double Dead Guy Ale (it is twice as good as their Dead Guy Ale).
