The Best Brunch in Denver
Gentle reader, what would you do if I told you there was a place that SERVED FLIGHTS OF PANCAKES! Would you hop on a plane and head straight there?
We would. (Look how excited Ryan is for his pancakes!)
And rightfully so. Take a look at this…
Pure culinary genius. The pancake on the right is their sweet potato pancake with ginger butter, caramel & pecans. The center is a pineapple upside down pancake with crème anglaise & cinnamon butter. And my personal favorite on the left is a coffee and donuts pancake. See the little cup in the middle – that’s filled with espresso creme – for you TO DUNK YOUR PANCAKE IN! Sorry for all the shouting, but I get really excited about pancakes – and this pancake pushes all my buttons.
Their eggs benedict are also fab, and their breakfast burritos are tasty (and enormous). The waitstaff is great, and the sunnily retro vibe makes this a great place to start your day in Denver.
Know Before You Go
The wait can be loooooooooong, especially on weekends. You’ve been warned. On the plus side, there’s free coffee while you wait, or you can grab a bloody or a latte at their bar and wait in their annex until they call your name. If you ask nicely, they’ll also text you 15 minutes before your table is ready, so you can stroll around the neighborhood to work up an appetite if necessary.
Bottom Line
This is, hands down, one of our favorite brunches in the world. If you are in Denver, make sure you go. There is another location at 700 Colorado Blvd, as well as others in Fort Collins, Boulder, South Glen and San Diego. (psst Snooze guys – maybe put a branch in Madison next?)
