Odell Brewing Co.
Innovative Craft Beer in Fort Collins
While Odell may not have the nationwide name recognition of Fort Collins’ behemoth craft brewery, New Belgium, it is certainly no slouch when it comes to making beer. Founded in 1989 by Doug & Wynne Odell and his sister Corkie, Odell brewery is world-renowned for the depth and breadth of its range of beers.
90 Shilling, their flagship brew, is an award-winning amber ale that is ubiquitous in Colorado bars and restaurants, but you have to come to the brewery to try beer from their small-batch Pilot Series. This is one of the reasons legions of devoted fans flock to the tap room. Other reasons people love Odell? In addition to their passionate love of beer, the brewery is also committed to sustainable brewing practices, and all of the proceeds from their tasters go to charity. (We suggest you try them all – it’s for a good cause!)
When we visited, our favorite beers were the Isolation Ale and Granola Stout. We also loved the 5 Barrel IPA.
As you can see we took our tasting seriously.
