Delicious bread & tasty treats

Madison Sourdough is so good, it (almost) defies description. This sunny oasis of carbs and caffeine draws us there like a lodestone. Rarely do we go a week without meeting friends for a lazy Sunday meal, or a quick stop for a morning latte and pastry.

Their bread and pastry offerings are top-notch, and their lattes are my second favorite in town. (The honors go to The Victory, FYI.) The food is always tasty, delicious and fresh. The cafe menu changes seasonally and uses local ingredients. We especially love the homemade granola, french toast, and the eggs benedict, but everything on the menu is fabulous.

Know Before You Go

The line can look long, but there’s rarely a wait for a table. They are open Monday – Saturday from 6:30am-5pm, and Sunday from 8am-5pm, but the kitchen is only open until 2:30. Don’t forget to buy a loaf (or two) before you leave.

Bottom Line

One of our favorite spots in Madison. Lovely atmosphere and out of this world food.
