Gear Review: LeSportsac Weekender
Schlepping around the world in style
I’m not exactly a shrinking violet when it comes to style. For me, bolder is often better. I love color, patterns and all things bright and beautiful. That’s why, when I was looking for a carry on bag, I was instantly smitten with this LeSportsac Weekender. (I also have a messenger bag that I often use as a my “purse” when flying – see above.)
However, this bag is not only good looking, it’s also extremely lightweight and durable. The zippers are sturdy and never come undone, and there are 4 pockets along the sides. I like to stash my flipflops, underwear and snacks in these compartments. (TMI? Oh well.) I’ve had this particular bag since 2005, and it’s traveled with me constantly – from Europe to Asia to across the US, and it looks as good as the day I bought it.
And if the colors and patterns are a little too much for you, they also offer more subdued options, including basic black.
