Great Divide Brewing Co.

Legendary Craft Beer

sex-beer-rocknroll
Just like bigfoot, Great Divide beer is rare and elusive in Wisconsin (the nearest place to get is…Illinois-gasp!). That means, whenever we’re in Denver, we head directly to the brewery to bag a flight of their exceptional beer. Their flagship brew is the Yeti Imperial Stout, which we think is quite possibly the most perfect example of this style of beer. They also offer the Yeti in various barrel-aged forms. Be sure to try at least one of these unique and flavorful incarnations. We also really enjoyed the Claymore Scotch Ale, the Hercules Double IPA and the Hibernation Ale. You really have no excuse not to try them all, the tasters are cheap, and all profits go to charity.

Can’t make it to the brewery? No worries, you can often the Yeti or their exceptional Denver Pale Ale on tap at any good bar around town.

Extra credit: The brewery uses sustainable practices wherever possible. They also have cheese tastings frequently, which as proud Wisconsinites, we approve of heartily.

Bottom Line

Our favorite brewery in Denver. Do not miss it. Do not fail to drink the Yeti. You’ll never forgive yourself.
