American Improv Comedy in the Heart of Amsterdam

Wanna see where Seth Meyers and Jason Sudeikis cut their comedy teeth? Head to Boom Chicago at the Rozentheater to witness tomorrow’s comedy stars today.

All of the performers are American and the show is in English – but they frequently reference their experiences as expats living among the Dutch. Each of the shows has a theme, but all are lively, funny and current – skewering topics ranging from social media to politics in America. They also feature videos during the show (think SNL digital shorts) – some of which you can view on their youtube channel.

The theater has an intimate atmosphere – with small tables filled with laughing tourists and locals alike – and most shows are full. Need dinner? Boom Chicago has partnered with three restaurants next to the theater that serve dinner and get you to the show on time. If you want drinks, order them at the attached Bar 117, and bring them over in an ice bucket.
