Blue Bottle Coffee

Kindra’s Quest for the Perfect Latte – San Francisco Edition

Blue Bottle Latte, San FranciscoI’ll admit it, I’m addicted to coffee. When we’re on vacation, I’m constantly on the prowl for the perfect latte. And I’ve come very close to finding my favorite, but there’s really no reason to commit until I’ve tried them all, amiright?

So, one sunny San Francisco morning I shambled all bleary-eyed past a million Starbucks until I made my way to Blue Bottle Coffee in Mint Plaza.     The line was long, but my faith was strong – and all I can say, is that my latte was worth it.

Blue Bottle coffee barBlue Bottle is famous for its single origin brews and artisanal methods – at this location you can marvel at the gorgeous Kyoto-style iced-coffee apparatus. And if you can’t make it to San Francisco or New York you can also order their beans online: they’ll wing their way to you within 48 hours of roasting for peak freshness.

Blue Bottle has several other locations, including one in the Ferry Building.

Bottom Line:

If you love coffee don’t miss Blue Bottle. I know it’s hard to pass all those Starbucks & Peets when you’re jonesing for a cup of joe, but trust me, you’ll be happy you did.
